The first step is to access the Average Price Report, and be referred to a local dealership. When the dealership reaches out to you shortly thereafter, you can begin the process of working towards this price (or do even better!). Remember that it is still a negotiation process, but having an average price benchmark puts you in a much stronger negotiating position!
Remember that the price displayed is the Average Price, which means that it includes those people who have done better than this price, and others who have done worse. Use the Average Price as a benchmark – this is the price you want to beat!
Exactly how much lower than average you can achieve will depend on the research you do, the supply and demand of the vehicle you want, and your personal negotiating skills. We aim to give you the tools you need to succeed by providing the Average Price Report, local dealer referral, and payment calculator.
Leasing your vehicle will follow a similar process as cash or finance deals. You can find all applicable leasing rates and incentives in the Average Price Report. Further, the goal is still the same – to achieve better than the discount for average pricing. While we do not provide a lease calculator at this time, you can still work with the dealership listed to get an excellent price on your new vehicle.
There are a few reasons this might be the case. First, check if the “Price Range” has been set appropriately. If you are unsure of the price of the vehicle, expand the range to its minimum and maximum.
If you still cannot find your vehicle, your settings may be on a finance terms not offered by the vehicle’s manufacturer (e.g. the manufacturer may not support 84 months financing for the vehicle). Please select Cash to ensure you see all vehicles available.
If you still cannot find the vehicle, ensure that you have not selected an incorrect filter category (Year and Make on the left filters and Vehicle Type on the top filter).
Finally, try using the “Configure a Vehicle” tool to find an exact match on your vehicle.

One type of incentive is a rebate. A rebate usually comes directly from the manufacturer and is intended to boost sales by lowering the price of the vehicle for everyone who makes a purchase. Rebates tend to be applied before tax, meaning you’ll end up paying tax on a lower amount. There are also after-tax rebates, meaning that you would apply the rebate after calculating tax. Rebates are specific to the purchase method and can be different for the same vehicles if paying by cash, finance or lease.
Another common incentive involves rate reductions for finance or lease deals (e.g. 0% financing rates).
The Average Price Report includes a MSRP and Average Price breakdown of the vehicle, including: options, incentives, mandatory fees, sales tax and the drive-away price. Also included is the information of the dealer who will provide you with a quote, the finance monthly payment for every available term, and every finance and lease rate available.
If you don’t want a quote from a dealer remember that the majority of the average pricing information is available without getting a quote. The benefit of getting the quote is that you will get a dealer’s best price and access to the payment calculator.
